JÆ è il progetto solista di Jessica Sligter, olandese.L'etichetta norvegese Hubro ha pubblicato il suo primo album "Balls and Kittens, Draught and strangling Rain" nell'ottobre del 2010. L'album è stato registrato ad Oslo e Richmond (US) ed è stato mixato da Mark Nevers (Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Lambchop) a Nashville.
La musica di JÆ è un mix eclettico di influenze, dal pop al pre-war folk, dal blues alla musica classica.
Attualmente JÆ sta finendo il suo secondo album, che uscirà a settembre 2012 sempre per Hubro. Il disco è mixato da Randall Dunn (Earth, Sunn O))), Jesse Sykes).
